That's a wrap @ Fog City Comic Con

Mommyyyyyy, i-it's overrrrrrrr.... That was an intensely fun weekend though! On May the 4th (bewithyou) I set up shop at the beautiful Main Branch Library in Saint John, New Brunswick, to sell some buttons, greeting cards, bookmarks and fanart. Needless to say that from the wonderful staff, to the bubbly and excited attendees and their eagerness to snatch up a few buttons and stickers and things, the weekend was a total success!

Pardon our Tim's - we don't function without it.

It was so great to see people enjoying the greeting cards I've illustrated over the years. There were also some pretty enthusiastic button-collectors, and as many of my friends already know...button-collectors are my kind of people. My button obsession is getting out of hand (particularly hand-made or fan-made buttons!). Meanwhile, my husband Zac sold a few copies of his novel, Sanity Line - book one of his eldritch-horror styled Urban Fantasy trilogy - and is now working hard on book two! I'm so excited for him and can't wait to help him however I can on his journey as an author. He's such an incredible guy! Please check out his book on Amazon here.

Unfortunately, amidst manning the table with Zac, I missed every single event and panel, which I will definitely correct next year, time permitting - BUT, while in the vendor area we were set up in, I got to connect with some pretty amazing artists - particularly the stunning work of James Hachey, a local artist and inker, the wonderfully kind A. E. Hellstorm, author of In the Hands of the Unknown (which I cannot wait to read!) and Prince of Thieves, another fanart artist with lots of exciting original content! DEFINITELY check them out!

If you didn't get a chance to visit my gorgeous hometown Saint John to see the event, I'll have my fanart and original work for sale on my Etsy shortly. My next con will be at Animaritime from June 28th - June 30th, 2019, at the Trade & Convention Center in Fredericton, NB - can't wait to see you there. For now, I think it's time to have a nap - the Tim Hortons has run dry. Cheers for now! Kat
